Michael Chrichton was born in Chicago, Illinois on 23 October, 1942. John Chrichton, who was a journalist, and Zula Chrichton. He was raised in Roslyn, New York. He knew he wanted to write at a young age so at the age of 14 he published a column in the New York Times. He then went on to attend Harvard. He had troubles with his professor though so he switched his undergraduate to Biology instead. Later after attending the University of Cambridge, he started writing books. His first book was Odds On and it was about a hotel robbery. His most famous book however was Jurassic Park which went on to become a movie franchise and receive several sequels.
